Through this collection it is possible to trace the development of modern Irish art in painting, sculpture, drawing, photography and new media. Several particularly popular features of the Permanent Collection are works by well-known Irish artists including Paul Henry, Sean Keating, Jack B. Yeats and Dorothy Cross.

Limerick City Gallery of Art holds the National Collection of Contemporary Drawing, which contains a lively and diverse ragne of works that challenge and expand our concepts of drawing.

Please note that permanent collections are displayed on a rotating basis.
