(IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A DEFINITIVE CHECKLIST - THE ONUS REMAINS WITH THE APPLICANT TO ENSURE THAT APPLICATIONS ARE IN FULL ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001. LIMERICK CITY COUNCIL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DECLARE AN APPLICATION INVALID IF ALL THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE REGULATIONS ARE NOT COMPLIED WITH).

  "The application may be inspected or purchased at the offices of the planning authority and a submission or observation in relation to the application may be made to the authority in writing on payment of the prescribed fee within the period of 5 weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the authority of the application".

• 17(1)(b) - Within two weeks of lodgement
• 19(4) - yellow site notice in respect of application made within 6 months of date of application of a previous application.
• (19(1)(a) - Heading is "Limerick City Council"

  "The application may be inspected or purchased at the offices of Limerick City Council, City Hall, Merchant's Quay, Limerick between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.. A submission or observation in relation to the application may be made to the Planning Authority in writing on payment of the prescribed fee of €20.

• 22(1)(d) - Legal interest stated
• 22(1)(e)(i) - Gross floor area of existing and proposed buildings
• Is application exempt from planning fees (If yes, is completed exemption claim form attached).

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

• 22(2)(a) - 1 x page of newspaper
• 22(2)(a) - 1 x copy of site notice
• 22(2)(d) - 1 x schedule of drawings (incl. site location map and site plan/block plan)
• New Housing - 22(2)(e) 1 x Social Housing Exemption Certificate or 1 x Social Housing Exemption Certificate application or details of compliance with Housing Strategy.(domestic extensions exempt)

If application is for OUTLINE permission, ensure the application is NOT for any of the following.

• 21(b) - Protected Structure
• 21(a) - Retention/continuation of use
• 21(c) - Requires IPC/Waste License
• 134 - Relates to Major Accident Directive

TECHNICAL CHECK LIST

• 22(2)(f) Has the appropriate fee been paid for this application
• 22(2)(b) Site location map identifies the site and is to a scale not less than 1:1000, site outlined in red.
• 23(1)(g) Ordnance Survey based plans or maps contain relevant Ordnance Survey sheet number (site location map) and copyright license number
• 23(1)(a) Site plan/block plan /layout plan to a scale of not less Than 1:500
• 23(1)(a) Site Plan - site boundary delineated in red
• 23(1)(a) Site plans to show any buildings, roads, boundaries etc. Adjoining or in vicinity of the subject site
• 23(1)(c) Site plan and other plans indicating contours and/or Levels where applicable
• 23(1)(f) Site and layout plans indicate the distances of any Structure from the boundaries of the site
• 22(2)(c) Position of site notice
• 23(1)(e) Proposed and existing structures clearly distinguished
• 23(1)(b) Other plans including floor plans and elevations Drawn to a scale of not less than 1:200
• 23(1)(f) Plans and drawings of floor plans, elevations and Sections shall indicate in figures the principal Dimensions (including overall height)
• 23(1)(h) North point shown on all plans and drawings (Other than elevations and sections)
• 23(1)(d) Lavational drawings showing contiguous building At a scale of not less than 1:200
• 23(1)(I) Plans and drawings show name and address of Person who prepared them.

FINAL CHECKS

Environmental Impact Statement - Is an EIS required: Yes / No
• Protected Structure - Does the development involve a Protected Structure or works within the curtilage of a Protected Structure: Yes / No
• 23(2)If yes, application to be accompanied by Photographs plans etc. as necessary to show the effect of development on the character of the structure. All plans to be to a scale of 1:20

NOTE: 10 copies of drawings, statements, photos etc. are required as all Prescribed bodies have to receive a copy under the 2001 Regulations.
