Requirements for a valid Planning Application
- Fully completed application form (including details of legal interest). If the applicant is not the owner of the property, a letter of consent to the making of the planning application is required from the owner.
- Relevant fee (Retention is three times the normal fee)
- Original newspaper notice (full page) to be submitted within 14 days of publication. The notice to be published in an approved newspaper. The list of newspapers approved by Limerick City Council for the purpose of planning notices are:
- Irish Independent,
- Irish Times,
- Irish Examiner,
- Limerick Leader,
- Limerick Post,
- Limerick Chronicle.
- Site Notice must be on prescribed form on a white background, be easily legible by persons using the public road and be maintained on site for a period of five weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the planning authority of the application.
- 6 copies of all relevant drawings, specifications etc.
- 6 copies of site location map scale 1:1000. This must be either an original Ordnance Survey map or a copy showing clearly the copyright license number. The map must be marked or coloured so as to clearly identify the site to which the application relates and the boundaries thereof.
- 6 copies of site layout map scale 1:500
- 6 copies of Environmental Impact Statement if required
- Section 97 Certificate if applicable (Certificate of exemption from the requirement that a specified percentage of land zoned residential or mixed development use be made available for social and affordable housing
- Details of how it is proposed to meet the requirements of the Housing Strategy in relation to the development (where applicable).
