Summer Prom Concert 2008 – a virtuosic trumpet concerto, russian dances and favourites from stage and screen. Enjoy a summer evening packed with thrilling movie music and orchestral classics.

The orchestra welcomes Mark O’Keeffe – principal trumpet with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra to play this Russian masterwork. Mark is a winner of the Creative Scotland award, RTE Young Musician of the Future and a previous member of the RTE National Symphony Orchestra. In addition to playing with the BBC Scottish Symphony, he also teaches at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.
