Main points in relation to the control of horses:
- Any horse kept in limerick City must have a horse licence.
- A licence costs €31.74 per horse
- The licence must be renewed annually
- You must be 16 or over to apply for a licence.
- A horse must be micro-chipped before it is licenced.
Once an application is received by the City Council a staff member will inspect the horse and the premises where it is kept and then decide to grant or refuse a licence.
