Book Clubs

Watch House Cross Community Library hosts two monthly book clubs.  The purpose of the book clubs is to provide a forum for individuals to challenge themselves by reading a book they may not otherwise have read.  The book clubs meet usually once a month to discuss the merits, likes and dislikes of the given book, and debate theme, plot development and different characters in the book.  The book club offers an oppurtunity for members to engage in lively discussion of books chosen from a variety of fiction and nonfiction, to meet new people and socialise whilst enjoying your pastime.

Meetings

  • Book Club 1: Last Wednesday of every month 6.45pm to 7.45pm. Leader, Pam
  • Book Club 2: Last Friday of the month 11.00am-12.00pm. Leader, Hilary

Places available from September. Contact Hilary or Pam if you are interested in joining a club

Bord Gais Book Club

The Bord Gais Book club website is a fantastic resource for anyone in a book club or interested in starting one, full of reviews and tips on how to make your book club enjoyable. The library and our book club were lucky to be featured recently as Library of the month and in Book Club of the month.
