Bealtaine Festival 2013 at Limerick City Library

Programme of Events

 

Thursday 2nd May, 12.30pm - 1.30pm: Creative Ideas for Healthy Eating & Nutrition with Jennifer Allen

Jennifer Allen, Naturopathic Consultant and popular columnist with the Limerick Post, will give a talk on nutrition and tips for a healthy lifestyle. 

Admission free and all are welcome.

 

Monday 13th May to Wednesday 15th May, 11am - 1pm: 3 Day Creative Writing Course with Mae Leonard

If you have ever thought about trying your hand at creative writing then this course may be for you. Mae Leonard, Limerick wrter and frequent contributor to RTE's Sunday Miscellany, will take a look at different aspects of creative writing (includings writing your life story). Participants must be able to attend all three days of the course and will receive a certificate of attendance.

Monday 20th May, 11am - 1pm: Art Workshop with Jean Ryan Hakizimana

Limerick-based artist Jean Ryan Hakizimana will give an art workshop where participants will learn acrylic painting techiques and produce their own Limerick inspired scene on canvas. All painting materials will be provided and previous experience is not necessary.

Thursday 9th May, 11.30am Home Composting Talk at the Granary Library

As part of National Compost Awareness Week, Sinead McDonnell (Environment Awareness Officer) will give a talk on composting. The talk will include a raffle for 2 home composters and 5 litter pickers. 

Admission is free and all are welcome

 

 

Limerick City Library Gramophone Circle

If you are interested in music why not come along to our Gramophone Circle.  

The May meeting will take place on Monday 27th May at 11.00am, in the Music Library, the Granary.
