Veterinary Services

The Chief Veterinary Officer supervises the hygiene standards of the independent meat cutting, processing and manufacturing plants in the City. Limerick City Council has a service agreement with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland to supervise these plants. Under a section 59 Agreement the services of the Chief Veterinary Officer and those of the laboratory are shared with Clare County Council.
