The City Library provides many vital services to the people of Limerick City, through the Central Library at the Granary and the branches at the Roxboro Shopping Centre, Roxboro and at Watch House Cross, Moyross.
Services provided include:

Joining the library
Application forms available to members of the public include the following:

- Student (Second Level) Membership Form

Registration Fees
Membership of Limerick City Library is FREE!
Children need to be accompanied by a parent/ guardian to join. On application for membership, adults are required to produce some form of identification with their name and address, e.g. Driving Licence, E.S.B. Bill etc. There are different types of membership for adults, e.g. book library only or music and book library combined. Membership is valid for one year from date of registration and needs to be renewed annually.
Loan Period
Items can be borrowed for two weeks. Items can be renewed (if not required by another library user) either by telephone or over the Internet by logging on to www.limerick.ie and selecting the City Library, and then clicking on the "search library catalogue" icon. To renew online you must first have a pin number assigned to you, to get your pin number just ask a member of staff at the library desk.

The Reference and Local Studies Department
The Reference Library is located in the Central Library at the Granary. Use of the facilities in this section is open to all and there are no charges except for photocopying and printing. A full-time librarian is available at the reference department to assist people with queries and research. In addition to the many historical reference materials available there is an extensive collection of Limerick-related materials held here. This local collection is an essential aid for anyone researching the history of Limerick. Local Studies department.

The Music Library is located in the Granary, the music library stocks over 5,000 items including:-
